Member Function Documentation

◆ demapPage()

virtual void gem5::BaseTLB::demapPage ( Addr vaddr,
uint64_t asn )
pure virtual

◆ finalizePhysical()

virtual Fault gem5::BaseTLB::finalizePhysical ( const RequestPtr & req,
ThreadContext * tc,
BaseMMU::Mode mode ) const
pure virtual

Do post-translation physical address finalization.

This method is used by some architectures that need post-translation massaging of physical addresses. For example, X86 uses this to remap physical addresses in the APIC range to a range of physical memory not normally available to real x86 implementations.

Parameters
reqRequest to updated in-place.
tcThread context that created the request.
modeRequest type (read/write/execute).
Returns
A fault on failure, NoFault otherwise.

Implemented in gem5::ArmISA::TLB, gem5::Iris::TLB, gem5::MipsISA::TLB, gem5::PowerISA::TLB, gem5::RiscvISA::TLB, gem5::SparcISA::TLB, and gem5::X86ISA::TLB.

◆ flushAll()

virtual void gem5::BaseTLB::flushAll ( )
pure virtual

◆ getTableWalkerPort()

virtual Port * gem5::BaseTLB::getTableWalkerPort ( )
inlinevirtual

Get the table walker port if present.

This is used for migrating port connections during a CPU takeOverFrom() call. For architectures that do not have a table walker, NULL is returned, hence the use of a pointer rather than a reference.

Returns
A pointer to the walker port or NULL if not present

Reimplemented in gem5::ArmISA::TLB, gem5::RiscvISA::TLB, and gem5::X86ISA::TLB.

Definition at line 121 of file tlb.hh.

Referenced by gem5::BaseMMU::takeOverFrom().

◆ memInvalidate()

void gem5::BaseTLB::memInvalidate ( )
inlinevirtual

Invalidate the contents of memory buffers.

When the switching to hardware virtualized CPU models, we need to make sure that we don't have any cached state in the system that might become stale when we return. This method is used to flush all such state back to main memory.

@warn This does not cause any dirty state to be written back to memory.

Reimplemented from gem5::SimObject.
